May 31, 2002, Newsletter Issue #44: Bar Soap Tip

Tip of the Week

Most people don`t know what to do with the "nub" of a bar of soap - the pieces that are left over when you are done using the soap. Keep the nubs in a container until it is almost full and then fill it with water to soften the bars.
Later put it all in a blender with more water to make liquid soap. Add water to get to the thickness that you desire. Then, put it in a recycled bottle shampoo bottle, dish detergent bottle, etc.) and keep it near the sink.
You`ll be suprised at the amount of liquid soap you can get out of these.
