December 19, 2003, Newsletter Issue #125: Pre - and Post - Christmas Sales

Tip of the Week

Right before and after Christmas there are great deals. Of course the deals are better after Christmas, but that doesn`t always help you when the item that you wanted at a discount is sold out by then. This year especially is GREAT for pre-Christmas deals. The retailers are in desperate needs of sales, and are therefore having all kinds of sales to try to lure you in.

After the holdidays is the best time to buy items for next year (wrapping paper, cards, ornaments, etc.). Just remember that a lot of people are aware of these great deals, so the longer you wait, to try to get the best price, the bigger the chance is that you might lose out on a deal. Also, remember that holiday items are seasonal and non-returnable, so check everything before you buy it!

Not sure if it`s a good deal to buy a bunch of red or green items? Just remember that red can be used for Valentine`s Day and anniversaries too, and green can be used for St. Patrick`s Day. So when you`re trying to figure out if it`s a good deal, just try to think of at least one more way that you could use that item (as a back-up).
